Jamal developed his emotional vocabulary through OM.

OM has been the missing ingredient in so many aspects of my life. I grew up between several different cultures, feeling misunderstood by both. I had to rely on my words to open doors, stay safe, find connection, and relate to women. From that place of self protection, there were so many nuances that I wasn't able to get across, and so many emotions I couldn't feel or express.

Now that I OM, I've developed an emotional vocabulary based on paying attention to the emotion that fuels all the things I do. I'm closer to what's really going on with myself and those around me, even when it's ugly. The practice of OM helps me face my anger, sadness, shame, and happiness with equal love. I'm convinced that this ability is the ultimate gift to myself and the key to relating I had always needed.
