Use and Modification: Using a Creative Commons License
Upon making a decision to open content we are likely to apply more liberal terms of use as follows:
Creative Commons helps an author publish his/her work online while letting others know exactly what they can and can't do with the work. Attribution Non-commercial Share Alike (by-nc-sa: This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. Others can download and redistribute your work just like the by-nc-nd license, but they can also translate, make remixes, and produce new stories based on your work. All new work based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also be non-commercial in nature.

Attribution (by): This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered, in terms of what others can do with your works licensed under Attribution.
Other licenses: Creative Commons also offer a set of other licenses for more specialized applications. Sampling Licenses allow for snippets (not whole work) to be remixed into new works, even commercially. A Public Domain Dedication lets the author offer free works from copyright completely, and a Founders Copyright lets the author do the same, but after 14 or 28 years. Musicians looking to share their work with fans might look at the Music Sharing license. The Developing Nations license lets an author offer less restrictive terms to countries that aren't considered high income by the World Bank, and finally, for those licensing software, Creative Commons offers the GNU GPL and GNU LGPL licenses. All Creative Commons licenses have many important features in common.

- OneTaste™ does not knowingly collect any information from persons under the age of 18. If OneTaste™ learns that a posting is by a person under the age of 18, OneTaste™ will remove that post.
- OneTaste™ or people who post on OneTaste™ may provide links to third party websites, which may have different privacy practices. We are not responsible for, nor have any control over, the privacy policies of those third party websites, and encourage all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.
2. Data we collect
- We sometimes collect your email address, for purposes such as sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, providing subscription email services, registering for forums, etc.
- For paid postings, we collect contact information, such as name(s), phone/fax number(s), and address for billing purposes.
- OneTaste™ does not store credit card information. Credit card transactions are transmitted to a financial gateway, and we endeavor to protect the security of your payment information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
- We may collect personal information if you provide it in feedback or comments, post it on our classifieds or interactive forums, or if you contact us directly. Please do not post any personal information on OneTaste™ forums or classifieds that you expect to keep private.
- Our web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served, including your IP address, page URL, and timestamp. Web logs help us to diagnose problems with our server, to administer the OneTaste™ site, and to otherwise provide our service to you.
3. Data we store
- All classified and forum postings are stored in our database, even after "deletion," and may be archived elsewhere.
- Our web logs and other records are stored indefinitely.
- Registered job posters can access and update their account information through the account homepage.
- Although we make good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.
4. Archiving and display of OneTaste™ postings by search engines and other sites
Search engines and other sites not affiliated with OneTaste™ - including archive.org, google.com, and groups.yahoo.com - archive or otherwise make available OneTaste™ postings.
5. Circumstances in which OneTaste™ may release information
- OneTaste™ may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process.
- OneTaste™ may also disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms of Use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of OneTaste™, its users or the general public.
6. International Users
By visiting our web site and providing us with data, you acknowledge and agree that due to the international dimension of OneTaste™ we may use the data collected in the course of our relationship for the purposes identified in this policy or in our other communications with you, including the transmission of information outside your resident jurisdiction. Information Collection and Use by OneTaste
OneTaste™ collects user submitted information such as name, email address, and age to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to the OneTaste™ service. OneTaste™ also collects other profile data including but not limited to: personal interests, gender, age, education and occupation in order to assist users in finding and communicating with each other.
OneTaste™ also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type, from users and visitors to the site This data is used to manage the website, track usage and improve the website services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposesUser Profile information including members' pictures and first names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction in the OneTaste™ social networking community. Email addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join OneTaste™, to add users to members' friends' networks, and to send notifications related to the service. With the exception of inviting friends, adding friends, and notifications, a user's email address is not shared or displayed to people within a user's personal network Users within a personal network communicate on OneTaste™ with each other through the OneTaste™ service, without disclosing their email addresses. Users' full names are never directly revealed to other members. To facilitate searching and finding friends and acquaintances on the service, OneTaste™ allows users to search for other members using first and last name, email address, and schools and/or companies where users may have attended or worked. We may also use a user's email address to send updates, a newsletter or news regarding the service. Users may choose not to receive email of this type by changing their "notification" setting to "Do not send me notification emails" in the user "Account Settings"
From time to time, OneTaste™ or a partner may sponsor a promotion, sweepstake or contest on OneTaste™. Users may be asked to provide personal information including name, email address or home address or to answer questions in order to participate. We may transfer personal information to certain ad partners that you have explicitly requested to receive information from. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply.
