Before I started OMing I had attended a One Taste workshop on “Intimacy”. I remember there was this one particular exercise during the workshop where I was asked, “What Do You Want?” immediately I felt a buzzing sensation along with nervousness as I pondered and drew a blank. This awkwardness came from a realization that, as a person who did a lot of care taking of others, I couldn’t even remember the last time I was asked what I wanted. Even more, I had no idea what I wanted. In the workshop we explored our relationship to desire. I saw that there was more available to me than I had previously thought possible; more love, more connection. more everything! Through my daily OM practice I am able to cultivate my own awareness and attention that light the path of my desire. Through my practice I have learned to trust life. I have more confidence in having what I truly want.
