We're starting a new series of posts, giving more the ground level experience of OM, the basics of the practice and what one might expect as a beginner (and even as a seasoned) practitioner, from heightened sensitivity to sensation to the ability to handle the everyday with more aplomb.

What Is Orgasmic Meditation or OM?

What is Orgasmic Meditation or OM? Well, it is a 15-minute, partnered consciousness practice where a stroker strokes the clitoris of a strokee for 15 minutes with no goal other than to feel sensation.

There’s an important distinction that’s worth making between climax and the way we use the term Orgasm. When we say Orgasm, we're actually referring to the Orgasm state. Climax is a few seconds of physical experience, whereas the state of orgasm is continuous. This continuousness allows those who practice Orgasmic Meditation to access an optimal state of consciousness brought about from the activation of the sex impulse.

When harnessed consciously, Orgasm can enhance us as human beings. Science and experience agree – Orgasm and the Orgasm state can incline people towards empathy, connection, and generosity. Orgasm magnifies, intensifies, and vivifies everyday experience not by altering it, but by revealing its true nature. The implications for our health, happiness, and relationships are astounding.
