Sugar Vs. Desire

Sugar Vs. Desire

I eat sugar when sad with nostalgic for love forlorn.

I eat sugar as a prize after a day of doing my duty, obligations.

I eat sugar when hot and horny to contain my unchanneled lust.

I eat sugar to calm my nerves after an intense interaction.

I eat sugar for pleasure (all day every day).

Today I realized that sugar—without shame, without sabotage, with full naming of desire—is the one and only thing that I allow myself to have. That my ADDICTION to sugar is rooted in my aversion to my real desire.
